from elsewhere:\'Let us be friends.Let us be friends until we\'re old and senile. Then we can be new friends.\'ever and anon.
I went to my wife\'s 30th year reunion this past Fall, so I\'m returning the "favor" and making her go to mine. Wow, looking at the names on the list, I\'m drawing some major blanks. Not sure if it\'s Alzheimers or all the pot I smoked from \'68-70 that\'s causing the memory lapse ;-)
Just heard about the Reunion. Am trying to re-arrange things so we can attend. Was stunned to see the long list of deceased classmates! It will be a interesting night for memories if Julie and I can make it! Hard to believe some of the crazy things we did back then...
Wow. All these names look familiar but apparently Alzheimer\'s has me in its grips as I can\'t put a face with very many. Hope everyone wears a name tag with their 1970 photo on it! Andrew (Andy) and I hope to attend but since we just received our invites, we\'ll have to try to re-schedule our previous engagements.We\'re still happily married, 3 kids, 2 grandkids (no, just one...our 4-year-old grandson died last week). With effort, we intend to put our grieving aside by the Reunion so we can come have you guys remind us of all the naughty things we did back then :)
I left in 1968 and never graduated but I remember a lot of the people listed here. Some of you may remember me because of my famous name, others for the mischief we used to get into. Have a great 40 year reunion everyone!
Will not be attending. I will send a letter of my goings on for the last 40.
I won\'t be attending. I just found out about it. I hope everyone has a great time.
Just can\'t wait to see all of you sure hope Pam Williams comes we always have fun at reunions. Also wish we could find some of our class mates..John Kenton can\'t believe you don\'t know where Ted Foster is but maybe you lost track..I lost Adele & my Brother within 4 months of each other thought it was going to kill me but we are the Class Of 1970 we will survive peace & happiness.. Know we will all have fun wooooohooo..Cheri
So sorry to miss the big reunion, but I\'m retired and living in Washington DC suburbs. My 25-year old son broke his leg last week, and I\'m helping to help get him back into shape. Would love to hear from old friends!God Bless, Christine
Looking forward to seeing everyone again, in particular my former wife whom I haven\'t seen in many years. Thanks to Marla and everyone who has helped put this together. I\'m sure it was no small task. I was stunned by how many of our classmates haven\'t made it this far...a not so subtle reminder of our mortality. Here\'s hoping everyone has a great time and is around for our 50th!
S-M-N seventy,You\'re Shawnee Mission North to me,Solemnity, yes Dignity,But now I\'m old, and have to pee.S-M-N seventy,You\'re Shawnee Mission North to me,The finest tree we did teepee,But now we\'re old, and too sleepy.See you anon.
40 years sure goes by fast. I am not able to attend the the reunion, however I do have someone who looks like me that will represent both of us. I told Gary to make the rounds on my behalf. Hope to make the next reunion. Take care Larry
Well Indians, we made it thru last night at the Dickinson!! Was like a high I\'ve never had, seeing you all after 40 years. Was very interesting hearing about other people\'s lives and the rides life has taken them. Looking forward to tonight at the Incred-A-Bowl! Love you all and may God bless you!!
Sorry to miss the reunion but I am in Maryland with my daughter and first grand child who turns 3 weeks tomorrow! I hope everyone had a great time. I would love to see photos posted here. Thanks to the organizers for making it happen. See you in 10 years???
POST REUNION COMMENTS:WOW!!!! Both friday night and saturday night were awsome!! Felt like I was on a BIG high, only without the "weed" !! My hat goes off to the committie for all their time, blood , sweat and tears that they put into the reunion. Many people I recognized and some I didn\'t. Never heard 1 complaint from anybody. Thank you all so much for comming , visiting with me and some even dancing with me!! LOL!!! I love you all and I pray that God continues to bless each and everyone of you!! Looking forward to seeing you all at the next reunion or event!!
How can it be 40 years? Seems just like yesterday ... well maybe not yesterday ... but not 40 years. I won\'t be able to make it, I\'m going to be scuba diving in Bonaire. Hope everyone has a good time. Dave O.
Hello All, It was so good to see everyone on Friday night. I wasn\'s able to come on Saturday, but wanted to say it was great to talk to everyone and get caught up. Several of us spoke of getting together sometime so here is my number in KC 913.322.9331 or e-mail to keep in touch at jan.peck@yahoo.com. Good to see you! Jan

It sounds like the reunion was great!!! Please post some pictures. Lord willing, I am coming to the 50th no matter what!!!
My wife also a SMN \'70 grad, Alice Naylor, and I really wanted to come but circumstances prevented us. We were real sad to have missed it. Hard to believe the Dickinson theater is a lounge but I guess everyone who ever went there are definitely 21 haha! We are living in Houston, been here since 1981. If anyone contacts us I\'ll be sure and respond.
SMN Class of \'70...you ARE Class! Even you Mike Franke! Hell NO I ain\'t stopped talkin! lol Although I did stop long enough over the weekend to hear some wonderful stories by folks takin Life\'s punches who are still standin and proud to be themselves. Now THAT\'s what I\'M talkin about! CLASS! My only regret is that I flat out missed some of you and that there wasn\'t enough time to visit longer with more of you. Please stay in touch or get in touch with me if I missed you. Can\'t get back lost time, but maybe we can find some time going forward, especially those in the KC area. My wife (of 40 years in December), Kathy, and I live in Lawrence. Well, lol, could just keep talkin but...you know what?...I just realized why I like to keep talkin...I hate goodbyes. Take very good care, SMN Class of \'70. Mike
Well it was truly a pleasure to see so many old classmates. My wife and I wished we could of talked Mike Kincaid in coming, however, please let me assure all of you, he is more crazy now than he was back in the day. My wife and I thank the Terry\'s for entertaining us during our stay in Shawnee Mission. We are still on our road trip and arrived this afternoon in Sedona, Arizona. Beautiful community but lots of rain!!! In closing, what to say to Mike DuPree, your orator skills are still there. Keep up your skills, as we will hear your testimony for the 45-50-55-60!!!! Oh Boy!!!! Once again, it was such a pleasure to see so many of you.
It was so wonderful seeing everyone after 40 years. It was well worth the trip from Arizona but I\'ll take our dry 115 any day over that midwestern heat and humidity! Thank you to the Committee - you guys did an outstanding job!!
Soooo sorry I couldn\'t make it to the reunion. Sounds like it was a great time. I found out about it too late and couldn\'t change plans. We were in OP just the week before for our grandaughters christening. Was stunned to see all the classmates that had passed away. Too many, too young. I hear plans for a "60 year old bash" is being thrown around. Give us lots of notice so we can get a good turnout.
Call me ant time or E-mail. I\'d love to hear from any of my highshool friends. I live in the Lawrence Kansas area and will do whatever needed to stay in touch. I\'m so naustalgic it hurts.

Wow...big sigh of wonderment and memories...all of us bums grown up and beginning trajectory growing down...:PTip of my hat to our friends listed in "Remembrances." I remember many of them. Hope somehow they know they are missed and that I, for one, have at least a few fond memories of their having been here.Well, aint got a lot but what I got is good. Very thankful. Yep, very thankful.Jury is still out whether I will be there in July. But I\'m real appreciative of our classmates who have worked hard and are working hard to put the reunion together...and hey...can I get a witness for this website????!!!!! Outstanding!!!I\'ll try posting a few pics over time. Everyone take care. Mike
The Reunion should be VERY fun! Good food, good drinks and catching up on old friends and aquaintances. Let\'s set a record number of participants for the Big 40!!!Cheryl
I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion on July 16th and 17th. Larry
Can\'t wait to see everyone! Friday night shoud bring back some old memeories. For those who don\'t know: the Mission Theatre is the old Dickinson Movie Theatre in Mission. Should make for some interesting conversations.
Hi everyone. We are looking forward to the reunion weekend. We currently live in NJ (Jersey Shore area) and will be back in KC for 10 days. BTW, we had a friends-and-family reunion last summer at the Living Room of Incred-a-bowl. It was a blast. The band that we are having at our Saturday night reunion event has two old friends for the SMN class of ’68. This will be good!
Help us get this to be the best reunion yet. We need all contacts from everybody. We are losing people and need all to help. See you all at the reunion. Marla 913-461-4588
I\'m looking forward to seeing everyone again. I was wondering if we were going to even have a reunion this year when I received a message from Debbie Crawford. It will even be at our old stomping grounds! Can\'t wait!-Bill

I\'m excited for the reunion... I haven\'t been to one since the 10th, so I hope everyone will carry a yearbook picture with them-- me included! Thanks so much to everyone who is planning all the fun!
Forty years-holy smokes!!!!
I\'m looking forward to seeing everyone again! I am still trying to get my mind around the fact that we have been out of SMN for 40 years! Go Indians!
Anyone have an phone number or e-mail address for Kevin Smith? I haven\'t seen him for at least 20 years, and he has not yet RSVP\'d to be at the reunion.
Ola Everyone. I am looking forward to this reunion. I was too busy for our 10th & 20th. However, this time I am making sure to come and see old friends. My wife who is from Brasil is also looking forward to seeing my old classmates. She has spoken to a few already and is very excited for me and enjoyed to hear their enthusiam over the telephone.See you all soon!!!!
Living in Texas for 20 yrs. Miss Kansas City, but not the winters
Wow, this sounds like fun! We are going to try to make it from Houston. I recognize names better than some of the faces in the pictures I\'ve seen. Hope we have name tags!
I don\'t know if I\'ll be able to make it to the reunion but it looks like great fun. The Dickenson Theatre is the site of my first kiss!
Unfortunately the Marine Corps kept me away from previous reunions and now that I have retired from the Marine Corps I look forward to seeing some ole friends. I endured alot my 20 years in the Marine Corps, not sure if I can handle july in Ks. though.
Like Mike said, Wow, 40 years! I\'m really looking forward to seeing you all! Been in touch with a few of you guys on f/b and I\'m really proud of what I have heard. Was totally shocked of the list of our fellow Indians that have gone before us. The Dickson brings back a lot of memories. Kerry Boyle\'s brother was the mgr . Kerry would brag about getting in for free! Well, see you all at the reunion! Go Indians!!!
Hi everybody.....Lookin forward to a great weekend
Thanks to Wade Anderson for finding me, although I didn\'t know I was lost. If we\'re not in D.C., we\'ll see you at the reunion.
Hello to everyone back there, both time and place. Hope it is a great time for you. I live in Bangkok, moved here after several years in the Middle East. Was a New Yorker for 20 years, and spent the early adult years on the west coast. I can\'t see how I can make it back, but will try, I haven\'t been to the midwest since after KU, 1974. I would be great to hear what people are doing, etc. I hope more info makes it to this site. Good Luck to everyone/ Dennis Balk
Howdy! The snow is finally gone and the rafting/kayaking is great! It has been awhile and will be great to see everyone. A big hug and thanks to Marla for being SO ORGANIZED! The Dickenson is too funny!!!Good thoughts your way...Bill
We just opened an English Pub in Peoria, Illinois so I regretfully, will not be attending our 40th reunion. Thanks to everyone who organized the event! My grandfather actually worked for Glen Dickison and built the Mission Theatre, along with the Shawnee Driver-in. Hope that sparks fond memories for many of you!If you are ever passing through Peoria, please visit The Fox Pub and Cafe. My husband came from England in 1979 and this is our "retirement" project. Our son and his wife will take over when we are old . . .wait we\'re already old! Best wishes to all. April Papon Cheesman
Louis Garcia found me on fb - Thank you...I am living in Mission, Kansas again - after many years of raising my family in Bellflower, California...Looking forward to the reunion and seeing all of you again...
I just can\'t believe it has been 40 years. That makes me really old in my grandkids eyes. Sorry I won\'t be able to come but hope I can see everyone with the 50th!!!
Wow, how crazy to see names I haven\'t recalled in 40 years!Got drafted shortly after SMN. Been a commercial photographer ever since. I\'m living in Phoenix, AZ-the only place I know of where you have to wear oven mits to open your car door in the summer!I won\'t be able to attend the reunion because of jury duty (that\'s what I get for voting!). To all my High School buds-I still recall the friendships and the crazy adolescent things we did. I wish I could make this reunioin. God Bless you guys.Visualize Whirled Peas,Rick O.
